Employee Listening Essentials: From Data to Action
Advisory Sprint
Employee Listening Essentials: From Data to Action is a practical, self-paced course that teaches you how to design and run an employee listening program that actually drives change—not just collects feedback. Using a simple, repeatable framework (Collect → Understand → Act), you’ll learn how to gather high-quality input from employees, make sense of what it’s telling you, and turn insights into clear actions leaders and managers can own.
You don't just want to learn the framework. You want to know how it applies to your organization, your team, your current situation. The Advisory Sprint pairs the full self-paced course with THREE 45-minute 1:1 call with Craig Forman and a personalized listening program roadmap built around your context.
Walk away with a clear plan, expert feedback on your approach, and support to keep the momentum going.

HR Leaders / People Leaders
For HR leaders who want to build (or reset) an employee listening strategy with real momentum and executive-ready clarity. The three 1:1 calls give you structured checkpoints with Craig to align on outcomes, pressure-test decisions, and walk away with a tailored listening roadmap, plus support as you refine priorities, stakeholder messaging, and follow-through.
People Operations / People Programs
For People Ops practitioners who are responsible for designing and running the listening system end-to-end and want hands-on support to get it right. Across three calls, Craig can help you map the approach, tighten survey and demographic design, plan participation and communications, and troubleshoot as you implement so you’re not doing it alone or guessing your way through key choices.
Managers & Team Leaders (supporting listening + action)
For managers and functional leaders who need practical help turning feedback into action while keeping trust high. The course gives you the framework, and the three 1:1 calls give you ongoing coaching to interpret what you’re seeing, choose realistic focus areas, build a sustainable “close the loop” cadence, and adjust your plan as your team’s needs become clearer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience with employee surveys to take this course?
No. This course is designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
If you’re new, it gives you a clear, step-by-step foundation for running an employee listening program. If you’ve done surveys before, it helps you improve question design, trust/privacy practices, participation, and follow-through so feedback leads to action.
How long does the course take to complete?
The course is self-paced, so you move through it on your own schedule. Most learners complete it in 4–6 hours, but you can take it as quickly or gradually as you like. You have lifetime access, so there's no pressure.
What is the Listen Up book, and how is it included?
Listen Up! is Craig’s practical guide to building an employee listening strategy, how to collect meaningful feedback, interpret what it’s telling you, and turn it into action that improves the employee experience.
It’s included with this course as a free download link. The book complements the lessons by giving you a written reference you can use alongside the course (and revisit later) as you design or improve your own listening program using the same Collect → Understand → Act approach.
When do the calls happen?
You’ll receive a booking link immediately after enrolling, and call times are typically available within 1–2 weeks.
You can use your three calls whenever it makes the most sense for you. You can choose to have the call at the beginning to orient your strategy, midway to refine decisions as you build, or at the end to review and plan next steps. After your first call, you and Craig can map out the best timing for calls two and three based on your goals and timeline.
To keep momentum, we ask that all three calls are used within 6 months of purchase.
What do we cover on the calls?
Across the three calls, you’ll use Craig as a thought partner through the full plan → build → follow-through cycle—so you get direction up front, feedback while you’re designing, and support once you’ve started implementing.
Typically, the calls can look like:
- Call 1 (Strategy + roadmap): Align on goals, choose the right listening approach, and map a plan for your context.
- Call 2 (Design + decisions): Pressure-test your survey/questions, demographics, privacy/trust approach, and participation/communications plan before you launch.
- Call 3 (Debrief + next steps): Review what you’re seeing, translate insights into actionable priorities, and tighten your follow-through and accountability plan.
The advantage of three calls (vs. one) is that you’re not trying to solve everything in a single session—you get checkpoints and course-corrections as you apply what you’re learning in real time.
